If your power steering is acting strangely—causing one or more spots where the steering feels heavy when you turn the wheels to one side or the other—there’s no doubt you’ll need to take it apart.
In fact, as you can see in Figures 3 and 4, the grooves have undergone some changes, in addition to very heavy buildup on the inside.
